three cues in process for same person
all three cues are going to little girl i know, Christy, i say little, because she was only 15 when she, her brother & father started coming into the poolhall i was working at part-time after i was hurt on my real job(plumber) . nice family, by the way now, she's all grown up, about to turn 21 and has a great job. the first cue is for her, to be finished after xmas. the other two are for her little brother & father for christmas* * providing brent gets his ass off the computer & gets them finished more pics of these cues can be seen at http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...0N%20PROGRESS/ birdseye handle with purpleheart buttsleeve & forearm accented with purpleheart & maple rings ![]() ![]() her dads cue is my first pointed cue. the forearm was given to me by cuemaker murray tucker along with three more prather fronts. rosewood butt, birdseye handle into ebony & maple front accented with white phenolic & silver rings ![]() her brothers cue is olivewood handle into birdseye forearm . butt sleeve is also birdseye capped with piece of olivewood. notice how the grain in buttcap matches the handle & the grain in olivewood rings match handle ![]() Last edited by BHQ : December 7th, 2006 at 10:07 PM. |

thanks chris. since this was my first pointed cue, i did have a little difficulty getting the pooints even. they still aren't, but close enuff for this buyer. she doesn't carea about that. a learning process. i know where my mistake was. i have three more forearms that murray gave me to use.

how's 7 months sound???? since i am not totally happy with the way the points turned out, and the fact that she is buying three cues, all played into the price of $200 for this one. the olivewood cue was $200. the purpleheart cue is $250 all have or will have one shaft with lepro tips |

i showed this cue off at the derby this weekend got some very nice compliments i'm very pleased with this cue helps make up for the ones i haven't been so pleased with, and there has been a few my buddy, dennis dieckman had some nice praise for me on this cue in his own little way that he does you know, ribbing me a little , saying "there's hope for me afterall" and stuff like that i also was talking with a cuedealer about refinish work on some of his cues he asked to see an example of my work showed him this cue, he held it up to the light to look for ripples he didn't find any by the way i won't say who the maker of the two cues was he compared mine to, but, that particular cuemaker gets 5 times what i charge for a cue it's all in the name i guess Last edited by BHQ : January 9th, 2007 at 02:05 AM. |
