my sat. night
So I played my first tourney in a LONG time on saturday. It was just a small tournout due to a major blizzard we were having. 8 players , mostly bangers, with a couple of decent players. Old 8' bar boxes, but they opened the tables so at least we could use normal cue balls.
It was best of 3 double KO 8 ball, and I took it down going 2-0 every match. I know its not any major accomplishment, but I thought I'd share it anyway, just to post something on here. lol It always amazes me how we let ourselves get nervous over the smallest bit of pressure. I felt nervous, even though it was a minor tourney, but I think age has a way of calming the nerves a bit. I used the nerves to slow me down and make me focus more, which I used to never be able to do. All in all it was fun. On a side note, my BHQ now is 1-0 in tournament play. ![]() |

LOL Maybe if my name was Jeff I would sell it. :P (j/k Jeff)
It was the cocobola cue. I got used to it first since I got it before the other one. I tested out the bocote one when I got it and it is very similar in weight and balance, but to me the hit felt a tiny bit different so I just put it away for now. If you keep building your name the way you have been, someday it'll be worth a lot more than I paid for it. It already is actually. ![]() |
