darren's cues, djkx1

darren wanted butts only
he has two predator shafts with 5/16 x 18 joint
he measured his shafts for me to get these as close as possible
i'm within .010"
maybe they will contract in the cold northern winds of canada ,

top cue is bacote & birdsye with brass & black rings
bottom cue is cocobola & birdsye with brass & black rings
his target weight was 18.50
both cues weigh 19 even, weighing them with my predator shaft

The more I see it the more I want to cry Oh well its just a piece of wood, right?? Thanks Brent, for the emails and getting right on the solution.

For those of you that have thought of dealing with Brent, I still highly recommend the guy!! Everyone makes a mistake once in a while, but Brent is quick to admit any mistakes, minor or major. He also is sure to do everything in his power to make it right!! Thats all you can ask for when dealing with a cuebuilder IMO. He cares about his work and is honest and fair. His prices are still VERY reasonable and I am sure that his workmanship and attitude will cause his reputation to grow. I'm glad I got my order in now, before he ends up with LONG waiting lists and huge price tags.

very easily when some dummy hits forward instead of reverse when i tapped joint pin. tap was already bottomed out and something had to give somewhere.
i was changing the pin that is shown in the previous pictures of his cues. it was off just a touch
appears as though I AM OFF A TOUCH

Thumbs up BHQ review

Just an update.

I recieved the cocobola butt, however there was a minor issue with the bacote one. So Brent shipped the first one to me, and after him dealing with some crazy postal workers, it finally arrived. Thanks for all the effort Brent.

Well this cue is very nice. It is smooth as silk, both in appearance and to the touch. It hits firm and has a nice balance IMO. I also think the ringwork adds a touch of class.

If you want an extremely expensive cue that hits like a dream and you feel like being on a long list, just call Brent in a few years. If you are like me and you want a very reasonably priced cue that looks and plays great, and you appreciate good communication, then I suggest you call Brent now.

or call me in about a year just yesterday told two guys close to a year to complete thier cues. some say that's good, but, i still feel bad about taking that long. i've got 11 cues in progress right now, 7 to start asap.

WOW!! That is some CRAZY BEM. I love it. So does that mean its coming my way soon? I absolutely love the cue I already have but I cant wait to get this one. Like a good parent, I will try to love them equally, but this one may be my "secret favorite". Thanks for the pics Brent.

Well I finally have both my cues and just as I suspected the second one is absolutely stunning. Much more so than in the photos. The BEM is justs nuts. They both play great, feel solid, and look awesome to me.

Thanks again Brent for all the work and good communication. You have earned my respect. Keep up the good work.
