Percentages for break and run outs for the pros

If a pro player played 20 games whats a realistic expectation for break and run outs. Assuming 8-ball is the game. The more racks I get through the more I see stronger safety opportunities rather than potential run outs.

According to some IPT stats, it looks like about 10% is typical. That is playing an opponent, so obviously you can only B+R when you are breaking. The percent of B+Rs of games won is more like 25% avg.

A guy like Bustamante had a B+R about 25% of all games played and they accounted for 41% of his wins.

At that level I think if you gave them 20 racks, the top pros would often have maybe 5-7 run outs. If they start making balls on the break every time, most of them will start putting packs together and increase that number IMO.

If I could runout everything like some pros, I wouldn't play a lot of safeties, but where I'm at right now it is often the best choice. I do, however prefer to attempt to run it out when I think I can.
