Hey Brent and everyone else.
I was just made aware of this forum by Brent so I thought I'd check it out.
I am awaiting a couple of cues that he has in the works, and so far he has been terrific to deal with. (That's the only props you get till I get my cues, Brent.):D

My name is Darren and I am from Canada. I have been playing the game for many years, but I am always in search of good advice and suggestions. I love reading informative posts that help my game. Hopefully this can be one more great resource for people like me.

Take care, Darren

Hey all

I just wanted to say hey to everyone and introduce myself. My name is Andy Smith and I just moved to Dallastown PA from Middle River MD so I may have bumped into one of you guys in a pool hall or bar back in the day. I've been playing for about 15 years and I'm trying to find a league here in PA but no luck so far. If anyone knows a nice league or tournament around York PLEASE let me know. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you guys and hopefull shooting some pool with ya.

Hey All...Dan here. I have been playing pool for about 15yrs..well I guess that is banging balls for 5 and learning for the last 10, :D . My Grandfather and Aunt got me into playing and starting teaching me. I loved the sport from the first time I picked up a cue. I lived in Savannah, Ga for 8yrs and played both Valley and BCA leagues and was the Captain of teams that won state in both Leagues. We finally broke the teams up do to the gaps between our teams and others. Wining is good but at what cost, you know? I moved to Texas and now do not have time to play. It is nice to be a part of this site and hear the stories from everyone else. Sorry I rambled...just happy to be here!!! :p

Hey Captain,
I am located right outside West Dallas. Every year we went to Vegas to play in the North America BCA tourney we always got beat by teams from Texas. I always said it would be nice to watch those guys play in person. Now I am here, I just wish I had the time to go watch and play... :)

No time to play, that sucks. You must be working to hard. Did you move for a good job?

Well, the job moved me, and it is good, but what good can it be if I can't play pool...right? With working 90+ hrs a week it is hard to get anything in as I also have 2 kids as well (8 & 6). I have played a few times over the last few months and was able to still run some racks so that made me feel good. I am hoping in the near future to start playing more and get on a league out here. I miss not playing, until then I will just read about all the good times you guys are having. :D

I use to have a job like that, only it was 70-75 hours. I made allot of money
when I had that job, but like you did not have any time to shoot pool, so I put a table in the house. Then I had a back injury and could not play for years and sold the table. Now my back is doing better and I am playing again,
but I changed the Pool room into the Music room.
I really miss my table.

I used to have a table when I was in GA. But when I moved I could not bring it with me. I am hoping to buy another one after the first of the year. I have to do something, this not playing pool is killing me. I have a den that right now is setup with a train table and all my computer equipment. But if I can get a table back in the house all that can go. :D

just wanted to introduce myself

I have been playing pool @ a more serious level for the past 2 1/2 yrs. Currently I am the team captain of my league team and each day I am becoming more and more addicted to the game. I have lived in KS all my life, and I am a 25 yr old female. I'm always interested in learning from listening to others experiences & I love to talk in general. I'm glad to be a member of this site & look forward to all that may entail. Thanks guys.

Welcome to the site. I was also a captain of my 2 teams for about 4 years. It can be a hassle at times but overall it was great. We always clashed with each other on who was playing league nights and who was sitting out  but, you put us in an out of town tournament and you would have thought we all loved each other to death :p . We fed off of each others run outs and picked each other up when we were run out on. It was the best family I ever had hands down. Now that I have moved the teams broke up but we all keep in touch. Again, welcome to the site.
