You know...Since I have been visiting pool-related forums like this one, I've noticed one very important thing, the spelling done by pool players absolutely SUCKS!!! Its like they were out wasting their youth in a pool-room when they should have been in english class learning how to spell. 90% of pool-players will NEVER be good enough to become pro, so the chances of you needing simple skills such as spelling, are pretty great. This is THE ONE thing about these pool forums that gets right under my skin, not to mention the almost untolerable "muscles" some guys get when they know they can say whatever they want to someone cause' they're not in front of them. I've come to the conclusion in the past couple years, that people in general, SUCK...Mostly on the internet, but in person also. Has anyone else here noticed this also? If not, just go through and TRY to read some of the garbage posted on forums, you'll get sick!

I'm part of the biggest e-thugging forum on the internet. I'm pretty jaded when it comes to smack talking.

Everyone should just relax a little, this isn't going to turn into a flame war over something as ridiculous as spelling. Personally I think its a good point about the poor grammar and spelling of sooo many people on the web, not just the billiard forums. I'm guilty of it myself.
With that said its pretty unrealistic to expect change with all the slang and interweb jargon coming from the online generations that powers most of what we have today online.
LOL I happen to be a Blue Devil fan too.

No, no argument here Bishop. I was just saying he'd lose his stupid bet that I wouldn't do that, cause' I would. Regardless of what they do, has no bearing on whether they actually do suck or not, and it would only cause them to get some injuries if they pursued anything. Slang or not, spelling should have a place online cause' reading what you wrote is someone's only way of getting the point to what you're trying to say. No, I'm no graduate from Duke university, my last name is DUKE!! Therefore, I'm a DUKEBOY for life!! I'm glad you're a DUKE fan also Bishop, they ARE the best!

I'm GUILTY. I was a Math and Shop Teacher and cant spell worth a darn. My grammar and sentence structure is even worse. I'm also one of them ole guys with bad eyes and a bad memory. But to erase some of errors of my post i reread and use spell checker on most my post.
Maybe its just me, but i find people to be helpful, friendly, generous and kind almost everyday on one of the forums. After awhile you will find who posts information and who posts crap. I have certain posters i read everyday and certain posters i ignore. But all in all i think YOU get out of a forum what YOU put into it.
